Steve Grace Concert becomes part of Unity's NT Mission

Jillian Pryor

When members of the Manyallaluk Community in the NT heard Steve Grace was going to be giving a concert in the nearby indigenous community of Beswick they were very keen to go but had no way of getting there. For some of them it would be their first opportunity to see Steve. However, the concert happened to coincide with the Unity mission team’s visit (a surprise to us) and so we were able to help with transport.

The community members were excited to both see the concert and have their photo taken with Steve after the event. The concert was held outdoors on the Beswick basketball court and quite a few adults, children and dogs enjoyed Steve’s music and ministry. Steve is a great communicator with and encourager of indigenous people. That afternoon a fight had occurred leaving a Christian man badly hurt and Steve’s ministry was very timely. The concert concluded with Steve praying over the young people – that they would be raised up as a strong generation to lead their people in God’s peace and righteousness.

Steve was very surprised to see Canberra friends at the concert and only just a few weeks before had actually helped sponsor the mission team to go to Manyallaluk through the donation of CDs for our Trivia and Auction Night. God works in surprising ways!!!
