Christian Studies with Unity College gives you the foundation you need to better impact your community.
You will enjoy our practical, hands on courses which cover Biblical studies, Christian life and personal growth, theology, worship, prayer and the prophetic, Christian trends and leadership, communication and teamwork skills and much more.

Courses available include:
Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology (30771QLD)
Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (30772QLD)
These courses which can be studied on a full or part time basis, are designed to assist Christians to become more effective in their area of ministry through personal spiritual growth, bible understanding and practical ministry training. They can also form the basis of a Gap Year program for students leaving Year 12.
The Certificate III is an introductory course of six months duration which the Certificate IV course enables the student to develop more in depth knowledge and skills and is one year in duration.
The Certificate IV does not have the Certificate III course as a prerequisite. Graduating students may find employment (either paid or voluntary) in areas of Christian ministry.

Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology (30773QLD)
Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology (30774QLD)
The Diploma and Advance Diploma courses are designed to assist students to take on a significant area of Christian leadership and ministry. Courses can be undertaken either full or part time and enable students to study at a substantial level of breadth and depth across spiritual and leadership development, biblical studies and ministry development.
Students undertaking the Diploma course are required to complete the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology course as a prerequisite and similarly students undertaking the Advanced Diploma course are required to have completed the Diploma course as a prerequisite.
Graduating students are well placed for potential employment as pastors, ministry leaders, missionary workers and church planters both within and outside the church, in various areas of specialisation as a result of completing these courses.
The Diploma course (including the prerequisite Certificate IV qualification) can be completed in two years if studied full time. The Advanced Diploma will take an additional year of study including a field placement.
Each Christian Ministry and Theology course includes subjects studied in class as well as fieldwork activities including student retreats, ministry weekends and a short-term mission trip.

Certificate IV in Pastoral Care (CHC41108)
This course is designed to help students develop chaplaincy and pastoral care skills for work or voluntary roles. This course has also just been approved by the Federal Government as a suitable prerequisite for applicants to undertake school chaplaincy roles from 2012 onwards. Existing school chaplains can also complete the necessary two units upgrade as part of this qualification.
Certificate IV in Celebrancy (CHC42608)
This part time course provides training in marriage and funeral celebrancy.
